starbucks and developed a romantic relationship. >> reporter: he said his name was -- >> he had been telling her i am wealthy. i'm a savant. >> she having the good sense of smell smelled a rat. >> reporter: as he slept, she went through his clothing finding a driver's license that read a different name. >> she did what can only be done today could not have been done 10 years ago. >> she went on the internet and found all the info. his add altwin jordan -- she was sleeting with the enmy -- sleeping with the enmy.

>> i went and hid -- he went and hid in the closet. >> reporter: he continued to lie 0 giving this new york address which is actually a hospital. fearing other victims are out there, they are taking no chances on this alleged con artist. >> in court today we made a request of the judge to increase the bail to $100,000. >> reporter: and that was granted. he is now being held on charges of arresting arrest and grand theft. now, get this, he claims that he indigent and was awarded a public defends. the authorities are confirming tonight that his identical twin is behind bars in a florida prison. on what charges, fraud. now get this, authorities are saying if anyone in the bay area recognizes him or better yet your pocket book recognizes him, contact the police.

>> or his brother. police are searching for a gunman who may be responsible for a series of robberies. now surveillance video caught these images of the guy as he was leaving the store. he is wearing a construction hard hat and a reflecteddive vest. police believe he was involved in sever -- several other robberies. the recall includes more than 1.5 million additional eggs. jill joins us from the suit bay where app -- south bay. >> reporter: more than 3 dozen cases have been reported here in santa clara county. nationwide, that has prompted the recall of 13 brands of eggs. >> reporter: check your car tons, if they are on the recall

list, you should return them. >> i bought a dozen eggs and i took them back and they gave me another dozen. >> reporter: cdc is reporting 380 million bad eggs might be linked to a nationwide salmonella out break. >> i made breakfast for dinner and that night i woke up in the middle of the night really sick to my stomach, horrible symptom pains. >> reporter: no deaths have been reported. about 14% of the state cases are here in the south bay. >> in santa clara county we've had 38 people confirmed and verified with this salmonella strain. three of those people were earlier hospitalized. >> reporter: at least one restaurant is linked to some of the illnesses but officials are not releasing it's name. safe way is one of the many stores that have removed all

people. it happened on 3rd street on the t line platform. police say two officers confirmed confronted a person that didn't pay the fare. that's when two other people got involved. police eventually detained all three. they were cited and released. one officer was hurt but not seriously. bad news if you're a state worker. furlough fridays are back on again. the state's supreme court today handing the governor a victory in his on going battle with state employees. the first unpaid day off is this friday. mike reports. this fight is far from over. >> reporter: it's the schwarzenegger see saw. the latest decision has state workers in a familiar position. >> we're good dancers. >> you got to be ready.

federal stimulus money is helping san jose getting miles and miles of newly repaved roads. some people say this is a little dangerous. san jose has only about 2,000 gallons of paint left. they are rationing it using it only for critical markings like the stop signs bars there on the road and lane dividers. so what is the reason for this paint shortage. >> it's a perfect storm in that there are problems in delivering the raw materials that are used to make the chemicals in paint. there are production problems in the plants that produce the paint. there are distribution issues as well as demand issues. >> if you're wondering roads are being repaved without enough paint to mark them, it's because the city will lose the stimulus money if it doesn't use it. >> reporter: the widow is in
